The objective of the project is to address gender imbalances, raise women’s voices, and address the main drivers of gender inequality. This encompasses thematic areas such as Sustainable Livelihoods and Development, Recognising Equal Rights, and Conflict Resolution.

YCGNI utilises community-based engagement as a tool to collaborate with communities in order to identify and act on areas where intervention is required. YCGNI seeks to encourage and mobilise women to share ideas and practices for decolonial leadership development, health advocacy, crafts, and sustainable agriculture.

GCCCT

GCCTC seeks to raise awareness about the impact of gender and climate change, with a focus on resolving threats to the livelihoods of women and children in marginalised communities. We are making strides to institutionalise gender and climate change adaptation in collaboration with strategic partners.

This project breaks cycles of disenfranchisement and vulnerability. Under our Self-Actualisation Model of Empowerment (SAME), FIDA-U provides financial literacy and legal assistance to women, promotes financial independence, and reduces vulnerability to exploitation and violence.

University of Dhaka, Individual Researchers 

Covid-19 had devastating impacts on health services around the world. This study examined the resiliency of maternal healthcare services (MCS) in Bangladesh and sought to identify effective strategies for ensuring adequate access to MCS during future pandemics and disasters.

This project infuses gender consciousness in disaster pedagogies, education and research.

Systemic governance failures in the Covid-19 pandemic response have been widely reported. This project analysed the national & local disaster risk reduction landscape and gathered local governance & NGO perspectives on how resilience can be strengthened by better integrating gender considerations in policies and practices.

Women with disabilities often face double discrimination because of the intersection of multiple marginalised identities, particularly gender and disability. This project sought to assess the role of local government in reducing disparities and creating a resilient environment for women with disabilities.

ECOSISTEMAS EN LA GESTIÒN DE RIESGO DE DESASTRES

Colectiva Feminista

The depth of water access inequality became clear during the Covid-19 pandemic. This affects women directly, as traditional roles and gender stereotypes continue to overburden women with water-related domestic and caregiving tasks. This project contributed to strengthening local women actors in the right to water and the protection of ecosystems.
